Spread betting sign up offers
-
Just wondering if anyone has done any of these and could share advice/tips?
For example, spreadex are doing a sign up offer whereby if you have £500 of stakes wagered you qualify for a free iPad Air 32gb (these are selling for ~£500). Others are doing £100 cash back once you stake a certain amount.
Taking the first game I saw as an example – total goals in the Barcelona game you could sell at one site for 3.6, and buy at another for 3.8. £50 per goal means a £10 qual loss no matter the result (50 x 0.2). Doing this 10 times means £100 loss, then you qualify for £100 cash back and an iPad.
Am I missing something obvious here? Seems like a good offer outside of the traditional bookmaker market that could be exploited

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

nate, I don’t remember reading any posts on here regarding spread betting, but I am sure there is a thread over on the MSE about it. I think some people once they have used up all the bookies and being gubbed everywhere move on to so some of the spread betting offers. I will probably do this myself when I eventually run out of bookies.
+0It looks as though only certain markets are allowed for the iPad offer with buy and sell odds like 38 and 41. So in that case wouldn’t it cost 3*£500=£1500 to qualify for the iPad? Could someone clarify this please.
+1I’m on this, like a herpes rash.
+0I’m interested in this, got a load of £5 spread bets for ‘free’ but I don’t understand how to use them, if anyone can point me in the right direction
