Matched Betting possible in other countries (Germany)?

Hi guys,

very interested in MB but I’m from Germany, and for example the well known 5 £ deposit – 20 £ free bet from Coral is not possible to claim for me because it’s only for UK residents.

Are there any people doing matched betting from Germany and if so, how do they do it?

Also Betfair doesn’t work for Germans, but Smarkets does! Would this be enough?

If nothing else works, I have my sister who lives in Birmingham… Could set up all the accounts under her name etc. but it would be a bit of a hassle because I’d need to use her PayPal accounts too and everything.

So any MBers here who are Non-UK based?
I heard over at OddsMonkey they have a forum thread or something for non-UK guys, not sure if their services would be worth it for Germans though?

Think most, if not all, here are in UK and Ireland.
Looks like it would be perfectly possible; if you google “matched betting germany” it looks like there’s lots available (e.g. https://www.freebets4all.com/free-bets/Germany-free-bets/ https://www.sbo.net/country/betting-online-in-germany/).

Thanks man, yeah I read that thread already because I also googled “matched betting germany” the weird thing is, there is not even one german forum thread or blog post or ANYTHING regarding matched betting in Germany, I mean it seems to be completely dead and non-existant here… nobody seems to do it, or at least not talk about it online in forums or blogs… so weird.. any guys here from Germany or other non-UK countries?

It makes me wonder if there’s any catch on MB in Germany, or any reasons for it not to work here or something.

Hey kartiloco! I am also looking at doing MB from Germany. Basically i’m in the same situation now that you were in then. So far from being able to help you, i wonder if you have found out about sites and offers that apply to germans and if you’ve tried using oddsmonkey?Thanks!

I am in Germany now too, I was looking into MB in the UK just before I moved over here. Have also done extensive googleing and have come across a page that seems to be explaining MB in German and English but it seems pretty new. Yet to check it out in more detail. In terms of exchanges, only Matchbook seems to be operating here. Limits your options but one is better than none.

I have now checked out doppelwetten.com, and it seems pretty brilliant. Made by someone who knows Matched Betting very well from the UK and who is now in Germany. The page has a forum, videos that explain Matched Betting, and it’s all in English and in German. Check it out!

Shayan, anyone with a registered address in Germany can do Matched Betting in Germany. Bookmakers usually do an ID check to make sure they know who you are and to check you are over 18. They’re worried about money laundering. But your nationality shouldn’t matter. Maybe have a look at that page i found (see my other comment) as that seems to answer loads of questions, and you can ask in the forum, too

If you ask me the only way to do matched betting in germany is the Quotenbulle. Website is great, lots of bonus descriptions, perfect tools, nice community.

Doppelwetten is strange. Actually they are using an english matched betting side, odds monkey. No own tools for german users. Forum is very slow and they are promoting bonus offers that do not work in germany. Or only with a risk to lose your money. I can not recommend that. Better give Quotenbulle a try, test run is for free.

Sure, there are a lot of good bonus offers for Germany and other european (and not only!) countries! You can just google bonus lists.

Except legal onions, you can grab bonuses for any country you want if you will mask your computer and find appropriate ‘friends’ to open accounts with)
