Restriction for not providing source of income.
-
I have lost so much money on sports betting in the past few years,
and I think due to this reason, some of the sites like Bet365, WH, Betway asked me to provide them the source of income documents which I didn’t and my accounts are still restricted due to this.
I recently got in to matched betting and seems like the sites like Bet365 and WH are one of the major site where you can make good money from them.
I’m not a money laundaring criminal, I just felt like it’s quite embarassing to share source my income by some reason.
Should I try to contact them and try to get unrestricted? I think I just need to provide the bankstatements of specific times.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Hi @koreanpride,
Bookmakers are well within their rights to run source of wealth checks. They do this to ensure that the funds a customer is betting with are theirs.
If you want to use your restricted accounts for matched betting, you must provide them with the requested documentation.
+0I’ve also been burned by sports betting losses in the past, which led to some sites asking for income verification. It’s definitely a hassle and can feel invasive. I haven’t tried matched betting yet, but I’ve heard good things. Contacting them might be worth a shot if you’re comfortable sharing those bank statements.
