'Burnout'???
-
Anyone else sometimes feel a bit sick n tired of doing this? Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the free money (thanks bookies) and I will be carrying in as long as I can, but sometimes it feels like I spend too much time looking for offers… odds… arbs… +EV… reading forums… writing on forums!! etc…
I initially thought that January was going to be relatively quiet and to be honest it was no bad thing. However, it feels like it’s been non-stop with offers flying in from all over the place.
Obviously I don’t HAVE to do them all (which I undoubtedly don’t), but part of my won’t let myself not do them as it’s free bloody money that I’m passing up, whereas another part of me thinks it might be nice just to have a few days/nights off from it all?!
“Burnout” of sorts perhaps? I dunno…
Sorry for the ramble (can only imagine what Johnson will make of my musings! haha)

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Dunno, I’ve been doing it for about five months now and it’s become my hobby. Much better than some of my past hobbies anyway.
+0Know what you mean Tony, it’s called addiction all that lovely free money, i’m either updating the spreadsheet or doing what your saying checking, rechecking, posting, repeat. First thing I do after leaving work check my phone for offers, trvel home on train check Matt’s blog see what he is up to, check forum, come in from work do it all over again and still I miss some and kick myself when I see that cash drift through my fingers. I need to get a life, hang on can’t talk now I think I just seen another offer (j/k)
I even employed some kid in Venuesula to do me a new spreadsheet as I didn’t like mine much from FIverrr but it was okay just not what I want. Trouble is I havn’t got time to mess with my spreadsheet as my time is taken up pretty much doing what we are talking about. Need to employ someone else now and write a better brief for them lol.
What really scrwd my head up is i’m £100 adrift somwhere can’t fathom it now that’s the trouble when you use some money from your profits to fund other family pressures, bills and don’t record it properly. So will have to start next month about £100 down, I hate that really hate that lol
+0This is bollocks Tony! You’re off the team!
+0lol @ Johnson
I actually find it worse when its a quiet day when there’s no offers on, I find myself scrambling around for arbs and wasting the whole day sitting on odds monkey waiting for one to turn up for the sake of a couple of quid!
Its much easier for me to know there are offers on Saturdays that don’t really change – horses and accas with ready made lay markets, or in-play offers because I know what’s expected and when to act.+0Aye, quite content to have a quieter month after December. The money is nice but doing 2nd place offers in the afternoon followed by in plays in the eve was starting to wear a bit thin. Perhaps just need to spend some of the money to appreciate it.
+0There’s probably a life expectancy to this. Accounts will eventually get limited after time. Unless you’re opening new ones in other peoples’ names or they’re doing it for you.
Enjoy the good times Tony. All good times come to an end and all of that.
+0Ha ha, exactly the same as me. Making pennies on arbs when there’s surely something better I can be doing with my time?
Thankfully it looks like the bookies are helping us slightly fed up matched bettors by restricting us on an almost daily basis now……
+0@Shaun46 – you’re really paying someone to make you a nice spreadsheet?
@Johnson – sorry boss, won’t happen again!
@deathstar – agree that the regular weekly, ‘bread n butter’ offers are almost second nature now
@beh – yeah, I had kinda hoped Jan would be quiet, but totting up this month’s profits so far, it has already been my most profitable on record!
@Dan87 – wise words, Dan 🙂+0
