Cheltenham Festival Thread

Hey guys
Thought I’d start a Cheltenham thread as we are only a couple of days away now. Interested to know what strategies everyone is going with particularly with the 1.30 each day as a number of bookmakers have different offers on these races alone.

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Beltway are doing there usual Saturday racing promo each day, bet £10 on 3 races, get a free £10.
+0Cracking idea to have everything cheltenham related in one thread but in fear it will get full very quickly, perhaps starting a Tuesday thread, Wednesday thread etc and then hopefully they won’t get too full!
Going to be a very busy week with no rest on Saturday as hopefully I’ll have hundreds of free bets still to use!
+0I’m more annoyed about working Tuesday & Weds and can only get Thursday & Friday off. As day one looks the best with the betfair offer, bet stars 2nd/3rd etc…looks like i’ll only be able to really do the sky and ladbrokes one perhaps on my lunch and that’s it…shame.
+0At least the first races are 1.30pm, I usually take lunch at 2 but will switch to 1 this week.
+0cant you do bets the night before ryan?
+0Ill try do as many tomorrow night as possible..as many people have been saying getting them on early will be easier, should be more liquidity hopefully and with all the offers higher qualifying losses is acceptable. Slight issue with the betfair 3/1 SP you would have to pick quite a high odds horse just in case the slim chance it really got backed on and went off under 3/1 AND won (unlikely) but that would cause a few issues. But yeah will do as much as possible tomorrow!
+0Do we have a list of all the offers on the forum anywhere? I seem to recall seeing one but can’t find it now.
Ps. I know most are in this thread but would be great to have a definitive list in one post.
+0Hi aNtis0ciaL.
Some info snipped from this thread
https://matchedbettingblog.com/topic/cheltenham/#.VuXVm5yLTIUBetfair 3/1+ THREE free bets is worth 5 to 10 per race first day = €40 to €80
Skybet money back if lose first race is worth €15 plus per day = €60+
Paddy Power (you can do in store if gubbed), Will Hill and Ladbrokes will probably all do money back 2nd for another maybe one free bet per day = €20 * 4 days * 3 bookies = Another €240.They will probably have boosts too.
Coral also have the 4 free bets for placing 4 bets on C4 racing on the weekends, Will Hill you will have earned 3 free bets already before they cancelled it.
Coral also bet on the first race on day 1 and get a free bet for every Willie Mullins winner.
There is at least €400 to be made in the 4 days. I’ll be happy with that.
A few ppl haven’t mentioned:
138.com 7x£10 bets = £25 free bet
BetBright Money back 2nd (all races)
Racebets Money back 2nd (selected races)
Betfred Money back 2nd (selected races) + countless boosts
Betway Cheltenham piggy bank
Winner Cheltenham piggy bank
Loads of extra place markets at various bookies
Etc
EtcGet you float ready for a hammering!
+0Just chirping in with what I’ve done to prepare for next week. I’ve knocked up a word document with all the offers and their respective races that I want to take advantage of with a reminder of the key T&Cs.
I’ve then produced an spreadsheet with the common calculators I’ll need. For example, a calculator with the effective odds for the betfair offer which spits out the recommended lay.
The only thing I’m unsure of is how much I’ll need in the exchange to cover liability, although I can probably wager a good guess with some estimated average odds.
+0Hi guys
Probably the best way to keep track of the Cheltenham mayhem…
+0Perfect thanks fog!
+0For those that didn’t get the flyer through the letterbox, 188bet are doing MBS 2nd all races day 3 with £100 max refund per race!
+0I did the first three on the Cancelled WH offer, I believe two of these will be honoured, can anybody remember which races these are for? There was also a recent WH Cheltenham free bet avail, I believe this was for a free bet on the 13:30 on Tuesday 15th? It’s going to be difficult to track the free bets for specific races!
+0Yeah yesterday’s was for the first race of the meeting.
Others should be –
27/02, Kempton 3.35 – £10 Day one.
05/03, Spurs v Arsenal – £10 Day one.
05/03, Newbury 3.25 – £10 Day two.+0Thanks! I only got the last two of them, didn’t see the first one so I must have done 2nd 3rd and 4th with the 4th not counting.
