First disaster
-
Backed Buveur Dair at 8 this morning confident the lay odds would come in from 9 whilst I was in meetings this morning.
Now at 12 and have had to lay and take £6 loss at 11.5.
Gutted, let’s hope it gets better!!

New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

Good you got it at 12 when you did, at 14 now!
My first ‘disaster’ was laying Altior too late. Had to settle with 5.8 even though i saw it at 5.2 yesterday. That meant that I will not be making any money from the bet365 offer, and only 6 quid from the betfair one
+06 quid loss is not a disaster mate ….come on
+0£6 is hardly a disaster! lol
+0You might get best odds depending on bookie?
+0I was expecting this to be a £100 plus loss….was this serious?
+0Well ive just been in panic mode as i had £200 on Annie Power across a few bets and couldnt get a match at all. Last minute i decided i had to go for it and take a loss and then put sky free £25 on her. Wish id gone and made a cuppa instead now and not bothered.
+0Not as bad as my experience with Buveur D’air. Backed on sky bet for 7.5 then BACKED again on smarkets for 8.8. Tried to lay off double but the price never camre back down and I got sidetracked so ended up 20 quid on the bet 🙁
+0. I’m sure you will get over this massive setback ?
+0lol.
Okay lads ill take the hit on the sarcasm and smart arse comments. With hindsight it wasn’t exactly a disaster – more a little annoying, but at the time i was a bit annoyed!
Will ensure i take 5 before posting such a dramatic thread in future!
Thanks for your sympathy though guys! 😉
+0In other news a cat got stuck up a tree in Leeds this afternoon, three fire engines and a local scout group were mobilised to rescue the precariously placed pussy.
After a three hour stand off the moggy was eventually rescued and it’s owner was quoted as saying “I was so worried, I felt like I’d lost £6 on a qualifying bet”.
😛 Sorry @Robbo, couldn’t resist. Chalk it up to experience and tomorrow take the price…. before watching it plummet like all of my lays seemed to do today :p
