New to matched betting?
My Matched Betting Academy is the best place to get started. Learning the fundamentals takes 10-15 minutes and you’ll make £15 in the process.

£10 max bet
+0Shy John is 6.5/6.8 for a decent qualifier if you’re still looking for one.
60p loss for a possible £55 free bet 🙂
+0I was on the winner instead. The favourite ended in second so would have yielded a £16.20 free bet (IIRC).
+0I backed the winner too… really thought a nice free bet was coming there for a moment.
+0Typical eh?! Mine fell half way round, so I didn’t even get a sweat out of it!
Never mind, always next time.
+0Good post Tony, would have missed it otherwise. Loving the forum.
+0Favorite backers rejoice, I backed the Fav and it has paid out, from £10 bet I received £15.20 returns. Backed it at 2.5 and SP was 2.2 so I can’t really work out how this has been paid?
Anyone else back this?
+0£10 at 2.5 should return £15, so looks normal to me Mark, other than I cannot explain the extra 20p?!?
+0£10 at 2.5 should pay out £25 Tony, or have I failed to read the terms correctly and the stake is not returned? I can no longer find the terms and conditions page.
In hindsight I feel that’s probably right isn’t it. Face palm. But yes the extra 20p is erroneous!
The bet history screen simply says return for the race £0 and there is no evidence of any adjustments or any mention of any ring fencing of the cash as bonus funds.
Still its all profit so I won’t c.omplain
+0Nice spot Tony.
I backed the winner @ 7.0
layed @7.4 betfair for around 90p loss.
SP was 8.0 (best price guarantee) so ended up with just under a tenner profit when the dust settled.Actually got me thinking about backing and laying anything thats very tight as a punt in the hope that
the SP is bigger thus creating a free-ish roll/arb.
Any thoughts on this lads?+0I backed the favourite at 2.63 and only had a small loss. I got £16.25 back in my account so no stake returned which is a bit of a con. Would have preferred a £26.25 free bet
So my profit was only about £5 but at least it only took a couple of mins.
Bit crap that sky bet dont show the winnings anywhere+0Thought it was reasonably clear that you got the winnings as promo cash ,ergo not getting the stake back.
Good spot from Cyber Hustler about the best price guarantee, didn’t notice that I’d won a tenner due to laying at lower odds than the off!
